“I can do all this through Him who gives me strength."

Welcome to Howick C.E. Primary School

Our Vision

Guided by our values we endeavour to motivate and inspire our children to become confident, independent and resilient learners.

Through our exciting, progressive curriculum we aspire to equip our children to meet the challenges of our changing world, so they can embrace it with knowledge, education and deeply embedded values.

We are inspired in our mission by our faith that “I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13)

Welcome to Howick C.E. Primary School.  We hope that you find this website useful and that you get an insight into life at our wonderful school.

Our school is a welcoming, happy school where everyone is helpful, considerate and respectful of each other. Our children are kind and friendly and enjoy learning. We are very fortunate to have a dedicated team of staff who strive to ensure that every child is successful, confident and responsible, equipped with all the skills they need to continue on their future learning journey.  We work in partnership with parents and carers and very much value the support and contribution they make to school life.

We have carefully designed our curriculum to develop thinking skills, creativity and spirituality, encouraging confidence and opportunities for children to be excited about learning and challenged to achieve their very best.

We hope that you enjoy looking around our website and that it gives you a glimpse of how special our school is.

'Howick is a Good School'

"Pupils feel safe in school and they make many friends. They said that attending Howick feels like being part of a family and makes them happy. Pupils relish learning in their classrooms and in the school’s attractive woodland area. Children in the Reception class settle confidently because of the caring, supportive relationships that staff establish quickly with them."

Ofsted Report May 2022

"The vision’s biblical foundation is understood and cherished as a source of courage, strength and joy. Integrated into every aspect of school life, the vision is a lived reality. Thus, pupils develop into confident and resilient individuals equipped to persevere and thrive. Leaders wholeheartedly ensure that the vision applies to all pupils and adults. This creates an open and loving culture of inclusion, which leads people to flourish."
